ABOUT US: The Outreach Committee is tasked with maintaining and furthering the relationship between the students of Colorado College and the greater Colorado Springs community. Outreach committee regularly attends City Council meetings as well as meets with City Council members. We encourage and advocate for students to serve on city boards and advocate for student concerns at the city level. We are also tasked with working with the other student government organizations in the area (UCCS, PPCF). We also spearhead projects that directly involve CC students with the broader community- such as a lighting retrofit in a local elementary school to reduce their carbon emissions. We partner closely with the Collaborative for Community Engagement. Lastly, we appoint students each year to serve on the All College Committees (Curriculum Executive Committee, Dean's Advisory Committee). Please reach out if you want to get involved!
